I think I've read this before over on ff.net. It just seems familiar, but perhaps not. Either way, since I don't remember if I reviewed over there, I'll leave one here.

I like the display of emotions that Sam goes through...from the soft musing to the crying and then to the screaming. The idea of somebody close to you dying does a lot of weird things to people. I job shadowed in the ER and watched a lot of people get called in for their relatives who had just died. Well, reading this story brought back those images of those people...so good job on writing those. :)
