SFX mag have a pet hate about those hugs - they say they have too many 'misty-eyed man bonding hugs'.
But I totally agree with you... those hugs are spur of the moment hugs or just 'in the moment' ones. i need a pure emotional, WITH tears, tight, clutching at clothes, reassuring and comforting and caring and supporting.
