He Will Not Look

 

“Look up, Samuel,” He sneers and hisses, eyes glowing, teeth grinning as he looks the boy up and down; the child who had gurgled at his touch so many years ago.

 

Sam knows better. He will not look.

 

Drip.

 

Something hits his shoulder, a droplet on his jacket. He will not look.

 

Drip.

 

It’s too familiar. He will not look. Fear keeps his eyes trained ahead; stubbornness and vengeance keep his gaze forward. He will not look. Not now, not ever, not for anything.

 

“Sammy,”

 

His eyes dart skyward at the tortured gasp, and he screams and screams and screams.

Silent Shivers

The clearing is deathly still, no birds singing, not even the rustling of the wind against the leaves. Nothing but horrible silence. He stares around, trying to cover every angle while he waits alone.

 

The trees creak, and something somewhere is shrieking, and when he turns around he’s there, with Dean on his knees, pale and shaking. He’s grimacing in pain, and Sam knows why. His shirt is in tatters, stained with such dark blood that the red is almost black. He’s dying and Sam’s never been so afraid.

 

“Samuel,” The demon hisses and a shiver runs down his spine.

"Samuel." That name is way too creepy when it's said by evil demon.

And no, Dean can't die. Not in the show. Nope. Never. *shakes head*

That first one teared my heart to shreads and killed me dead dead dead. I loved the structure and the pacing that conveyed such a sense of urgency and panic. I really wish this will not happen at the end of the season, though I believe that when this show ends (may it be long in the future) Dean will die some way and it will be saving Sam. I just can't see any other ending for him as a character.

I'm a Dean-girl all the way but dammnit he's so much easier to kill! So sacrificial and the tragic hero :( lmao your icon isn't helping :P totally agree that he can't live the normal life :'(

all through the first one all I thought was 'I hope it's John, I hope it's John' but then when I read the "Sammy" all I could think was no...NO NO!!!!

I think I was still in shock when I read the second one and although it said allot more in fewer words it didn't have the same impact as it would have had I read it first...



I actually think that when the show ends (hopefully after many successful seasons) that it will either have an open ending where the fans will be able to make their own endings OR that Dean will live to meet the 'real' world...for the exact same reasons as you think he will die

it would be so much easier that way, and life's never easy especially not to the Winchester's (have you wondered by the way why there aren't any cousins or uncles or anything in the way of family in their lives beyond the tree of them)
and I think it would be a little like 'taking the easy way out' to have him die, before having at least another taste at 'normal'
without that the choice to live a hunters life wouldn't be as objective and I think his character deserves that kind of closure (and maybe the feeling that he's deserving of a normal life like Sam)
not now though (cause I don't think he's ready for it yet) but sometime in the future...

You know what would be the perfect ending for me? Not of this series, but of the entire show? Dean, Sam in the Impala driving down the road with All Right Now playing :D
